M2A Media welcomes new cloud video experts to its commercial and client services divisions

Following steady growth in the broadcast and sports technology sectors and the recent launch of our live IP video transport product, M2A CONNECT, we are excited to be growing our team of cloud video and technical experts across the company’s commercial and client services divisions.

Please join us in welcoming; Simon Harrison, Head of Product, Simon Le Roux, Head of Sales, EMEA and Americas, Eva Alam, Technical Project Manager, Lila Lopez, Client Services Project Manager and Harry McCombe, Sales & Marketing Assistant.

Previously at global sports OTT platform, DAZN, Simon Harrison recently joined M2A Media as Head of Product. Simon’s career stretches across print, online, mobile, live production, VOD, playout and OTT. Passionate about the power of technology to transform communications, for the past 20 years he has sought out cutting-edge media solutions.

Simon was part of the team that launched iPlayer, before heading up Red Bee Media’s VOD operations. He then led Deluxe Media’s charge into Australia with the country’s first cloud-based playout system for the SBS channels. With senior leadership roles back in the UK for Deluxe and then sports OTT platform DAZN, Simon has continued to deliver innovation for clients such as BBC Studios, ITV, Warner Bros and Disney, and millions of sports fans around the world.  

Joining M2A’s commercial team from Red Giant is Simon Le Roux.  As Head of Sales, EMEA and Americas, Simon Le Roux is charged with expanding the company’s footprint in these territories, working alongside Head of Sales, UK & APAC, Hamish Muiry.

Simon Le Roux brings with him 25 years of sales and sales management experience.  Eleven of these were spent at Adobe looking after broadcast customers and establishing the Flash platform for streaming video and then later Adobe Premiere Pro as the market leading editor for post production.  Most recently Simon has consulted for a number of early stage companies in sales, strategy and management roles.

Technical Project Manager, Eva Alam is, in her own words, a bonafide sci-fi geek with a masters degree in spacecraft technology. Bringing with her experience gained from her time working as a Senior Analyst Programmer at NASA in the US and a ten year stint at the BBC News in software engineering, Eva will join M2A’s Client Services team, managing the global delivery of premier live sporting events for key accounts.

Lila Lopez also joins the Client Services team as Client Services Project Manager.  With a degree in International Business, Lila has previously worked at Accenture as a Business Analyst and more recently at Vubiquity as Service Manager, where she managed an operational team responsible for the processing and delivery of VOD content to clients.  

Finally, Harry McCombe joins M2A as Sales & Marketing Assistant. A recent Digital Media graduate from the University of Leeds, Harry will support our commercial team as we expand our reach in new territories.  

In parallel, M2A is bolstering its team of skilled video engineers and operations managers to maintain the product innovation and service our customers know us for, as we continue to grow.
