M2A Media and Ateme Partner to Scale Premium Live Sports Delivery

This partnership brings Ateme’s technology into M2A Media’s cloud platform, enabling broadcasters, streamers and rights holders to run hundreds of live events concurrently, with greater choice and simpler operations.

London, UK, [07/09/2026]M2A Media, a leader in cloud-based live video, today announced a partnership with Ateme, a global leader in video compression and delivery, bringing Ateme’s solutions into the M2A Media platform.

The integration will enable broadcasters, streamers and rights holders and federations to deploy Ateme at significant scale, including across hundreds of concurrent live events, while managing everything through a single M2A operational platform, MediaToAnywhere.

The partnership is focused on premium live sports, where scale, complexity and reliability come together. Major rights holders can be managing hundreds of simultaneous feeds, often across different formats, frame rates and delivery requirements, with little room for manual intervention when something goes wrong.

M2A Media will use Ateme across a range of these workflows, from ABR encoding for streaming services to processing and normalising broadcast transport streams. This includes transport stream normalisation, frame-rate conversion and HDR conversion, helping customers turn varied incoming feeds into consistent outputs ready for distribution.

The companies will also tackle persistent challenges around HDR workflows, time-code normalisation and watermarking, areas where inconsistencies in contribution feeds can create operational problems during high-value live events.

By combining Ateme’s video streaming excellence with M2A’s cloud orchestration and 24/7 global operations, these capabilities can be deployed dynamically and at scale. Customers can spin up the processing they need for an event, run hundreds of events concurrently when required, and scale back down afterwards, without having to build and operate dedicated infrastructure for peak demand.

M2A Media will integrate Ateme into its Compute Orchestration environment, enabling customers to deploy and manage large Ateme encoding and processing fleets with the same operational model they already use for AWS-based services.

The partnership also creates a foundation for M2A to integrate further Ateme capabilities over time, giving customers access to new video processing technology without increasing the operational complexity of their live workflows.

Remi Beaudouin, CSO, Ateme, said: “Live sports workflows are evolving rapidly, and technology needs to evolve with them. Our partnership with M2A Media brings Ateme solutions into a highly flexible cloud environment, giving customers an efficient way to address new requirements as they emerge.”

Ciarán Doran, CEO of M2A Media, said: “Premium live sports demand both scale and operational simplicity. By integrating Ateme into the M2A platform, we’re giving customers greater technology choice and the ability to run sophisticated video processing across hundreds of concurrent events, without adding operational complexity.”
