TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

The Role

If you would like to play a central role in the live, cloud-based delivery of premier sporting events for global broadcasters and OTT platforms, read on! 

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead and manage critical media services projects for M2A’s global sports clients. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of multiple simultaneous projects. The role includes the management of project scope, issue and risk management, change control process, scheduling resources, and agile management of engineering teams including estimating, planning, removing blockers, velocity monitoring and hitting goals.



You Will

Deliver project management best practice within an Agile environment

Define project scope and goals

Plan & schedule project timelines: determine and right size relevant activities and efforts to formulate, own and oversee a comprehensive and executable project delivery plan

Help engineering teams to deliver to agreed timelines and goals

Work with Senior Technical staff to capture and document requirements

Own and track project administration, including all documentation

Own and track project progress and performance against all actions and milestones

Identify and manage project risk

Identify and manage complex and multiple dependencies

Identify and manage resource usage and costs

Be able to adapt to changing requirements and priorities, but also confident to raise questions on these across all levels of the business

You’ll Have

5 + years of project management experience in a technical environment managing agile software projects – preference for experience in broadcast, cloud, live streaming or VOD

Experience working with Technical and Solutions Architects

Experience working with co-located and remote development teams

Knowledge of and experience with Amazon Web Services, or alternative cloud services providers

Able to facilitate and coach individuals and teams

Project management qualification preferred (AGILE, APM)

Scrum (CSM/ PSM) / Kanban experience

Proven track record integrating strategy, business process, technology, change management, and project delivery

Self-motivation with a desire to add value

Experience with project management and collaboration tools, such as Jira, Confluence and Slack
