REGIONAL HEAD OF SALES

The Role

M2A Media is a young, fast-growing company that builds world leading cloud-based solutions for managing and publishing video. Our customers are companies with large catalogues of vod and live video content with direct to consumer products and/or distribution through affiliates, sports streaming apps, online broadcasters, and sports federations. 

Established just over four years ago by a team which cut its cloud teeth on the BBC iPlayer, M2A is already working with well-known British broadcasters and with companies who are breaking through with the new wave of internet-only video publishers.

The company has a team of software developers based in its offices in central London.

Due to the expansion of its activities, M2A is looking for a committed individual to sell M2A products to new customers. The head of sales will focus on developing new business opportunities across multiple territories primarily outside of the UK. They should be a rainmaker with a proven track record of engaging the right potential customers, landing the value proposition, and closing deals.

The successful candidate will find and develop key relationships, maintain a well-stocked pipeline, manage opportunities, and propose and negotiate new deals. They will work with marketing to plan marketing campaigns to prioritise marketing activities and represent M2A both online and at industry events. They will set sales targets and report on these to the board and contribute to the product roadmap and pricing strategy.  

The successful candidate will report to the CEO.


You Will

Own and hit/exceed quarterly & annual sales targets.

Focus on bringing in new customers and closing deals. 

Devise and Implement sales strategies and monitor effectiveness.

Contribute to setting and measuring sales targets and sales KPIs.

Use a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales.

Build an effective sales pipeline and lead generation process. 

Utilise and develop the CRM effectively for reporting, transparency and accountability.

Keep a close eye on the sales activities of competitors and utilising ideas where appropriate.

Negotiate subject to the approval of the CEO agreements for contracts with customers and ensure commerciality.

Understand and present with authority the M2A products and the technology employed.

Effectively communicate the M2A value proposition through proposals and presentations.


Person Specification

A rainmaker with a proven sales track record, meeting or exceeding targets selling technology solutions into large scale enterprise clients such as Broadcasters, Content Owners, Operators, Sports Rights Holders, OTT Platforms, (Education, and Healthcare).  

Ability to build and maintain a global network of prospects with decision makers in target organisations and develop these into opportunities and deals.

Team player with an ability to inspire performance within the sales team.

Proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results.

Experience building business plans.

Experienced in managing the full sales cycle from prospect, POC, contract negotiation through to close.

Demonstrate an understanding of AWS public cloud and the benefits of working with AWS.  

Experience working with teams using agile and product based approaches to delivering software.

Tech savvy and passionate about technology solutions.

Experienced user of sales CRM systems.

Strong analytical skills.

Staff contract of base salary and OTE as specified in Sales Package
